Russian warships that have reached waters off Syria in recent days were carrying, among other things, Russian technical advisors who will help the Syrians set up an array of S-300 missile. Damascus has received in recent weeks, a report in the London-based Arabic language Al Quds-Al Arabi said Thursday. Citing sources in Syria and Russia, the paper said that Moscow sees a Western attack on Syria as a “red line” that it will not tolerate.
Firstly: the West has enough on it's NATO plate, so a Syrian adventure is not on their menu.
Every time that one hopes that mother Russia will make the grade, join the European Community in mind and deed, they knee jerk back to their old Neanderthal ways. Backing that psycho in Syria not to mention their present love-in with Iran; well...just what kind of stupid non-foreign policy is that! Since when was in-bed-with-Islam ever been in Russia's best interest? Seems that Russia still hasn't quite made the connection with their Chechen Islamists and the mad bad bastards they currently give support to in the Islamic asylums otherwise known as Syria and Iran.
Get over that old Soviet mind set and join the West in the 21st century, with all that Russia has to offer...soon.
