CAIRO—Egypt's Supreme Constitutional Court said Sunday the nominating period for presidential candidates will open March 10 and last four weeks, but stopped short of announcing a date for the election.
The most notable absence from the field is Nobel laureate and former U.N. nuclear watchdog chief Mohamed ElBaradei. He withdrew from the race last month, saying a fair election would be impossible under the military's grip. He said the election would likely not bring a real end to the generals' rule.
Er...more likely he didn't fling his fez into the souk because the Muslim Bros and Hazem Abu Ismail, who draws his core support from the ultraconservative Salafis and form the second largest bloc of Neanderthals in parliament after the Brotherhood, have a maddening 70% of the illiterates in their camel bags already.
So ElBaradie, who just might have saved Egypt from the nihilistic 70% Nile noddys, will just have to one way ticket it back to barracks UN or wherever.
Meanwhile...if Obama's bam-pots would just cut off the $$$$$'s you'd very quickly hear the sound of the one good toilet in the whole of Cairo being fully engaged; as the sound of fat ass'd failed M.B's are flushed into the cesspit where they undoubtedly belong.
