The recent clashes between Coptic and Islamic extremist groups, which cost more than 11 dead and hundreds injured, increase the spectrum of what to expect when Islamists are in control of Egypt. Not only the Christian minority now live in fear, but also millions of moderate Muslims, especially women and the poor. "The rise of radical Islamic parties, said the priest will particularly affect widows and mothers abandoned by their husbands, who will not be able to feed and clothe their children." The Muslim Brotherhood and other radical Islamic parties propose an application of Sharia law which prohibits women from working and leaving the house. These days many Muslim women have participated in events organized by the Coptic community in front of the headquarters of the Egyptian state TV, shouted slogans in favor of secularism and against the Islamification of the country.
