Atheists: Not Exactly Fun Folk!

An atheist group that is raising objections to Christmas banners and Nativity scenes across the United States is now targeting a sign in New Jersey. Pitman Borough in Gloucester County carries a banner that reads, “Keep Christ in Christmas.” The Wisconsin-based Freedom From Religion Foundation says it violates the establishment clause of the Constitution.“In our mind, this was either a violation of the establishment clause of the Constitution, or a sign that needed a permit – and that without a permit, they were showing favoritism to an organization,” Star-Ledger quoted FFRF’s constitutional consultant Andrew Seidel as saying...blah,blah,blah.
Whatever your belief, or none at all like the atheists, that's OK by me. But...why are they such a sado bunch of nit picking party-pooping tossers? If they are so sure of their "there is no god" etc, why do they not get on with their smug know-it-all-lives and let others do the same?
Ego. They must have a friggin' biggy. Even Mr Einstein was not going to rule out an Intelligence in the universe. But leaving that aside, aren't atheists more than a little arrogant pronouncing with 100% certainty that their washing powder is the real deal?
Just a little perspective with a couple of examples won't go amiss.
Hubble Photo of Abell 1689. A large galaxy cluster
2 million light years wide.
1. Using the scale of Earth being the size of our own Milky Way galaxy: Place a CD on the ground. The center of the disc would be our star, the Sun. The edge of the CD would be Pluto. Our home galaxy is approximately 100,000 light years across. And we are only one galaxy in billions which stretch out for about 13.7 billion light years...and that's just what our instruments can detect as they all travel from us up to the speed of light...
Quantum Physics.
It's well known to physicists that quantum systems are fragile. When a photon interacts with its environment, even just a tiny bit, the superposition is destroyed. Superposition is a fundamental principle of quantum physics that says that systems can exist in all their possible states simultaneously! (Stop: and just have a few quiet moments considering the implications of this). But when measured, only the result of one of the states is given (this is when you and I call this particular state "reality.")
This effect is known as decoherence, and it has been studied intensively over the last few decades. The idea of decoherence was raised by Erwin Schrödinger, one of the founding fathers of quantum physics, in his famous cat paradox: a cat in a box can be both dead and alive at the same time... (Buy a good quantum physics book for the lay person).
So you see Mr & Mrs Atheist; you are just a tad premature in your pronouncements of absolute on anything. Indeed...you're so far removed from being the dog's bollocks on what can and can't be, that a bit more awe and a lot less atheist absolute wouldn't go amiss.

But one thing can be stated for sure; whether we live in this one and only universe or the Multi-vers: or whither forever, with each and every passing second another Big Bang is conceived form eternity; we human fireflies on our atom-sized world don't really know squit about the whys and wherefores of consciousness or existence; our indeed much about anything for that matter.
