Saudi Woman Driver Update!

Rights group decries flogging sentence for female Saudi driver - CNN.com: "Amnesty International said a Saudi woman was sentenced to 10 lashes for getting behind the wheel. The group said the harsh sentence demonstrated the scale of discrimination against women in the Islamic nation, and it urged the dismantling of the "whole system of women's subordination."

Getting this poor unfortunate ready for a stoning. A fav still in Iran.
"Flogging is a cruel punishment in all circumstances, but it beggars belief that the authorities in Saudi Arabia have imposed lashes on a woman apparently for merely driving a car," said Philip Luther, Amnesty Internationale's Middle East and North Africa deputy director."

Still very popular especially in Saudi Arabia.
Memo to: Philip Luther, Amnesty International Middle East:  So it "beggars belief" does it? You do know that you're area of responsibility Deputy Director, is not in Seven Oaks, England UK? Haven't you noticed that way out west in Islam Country, they do things a mite different? A public head chop here, a floggin' there and of course the old amputation and stoning is very popular and is how Camel in' Oil Country folks sort out pesky types. And they've got their holy book of stone age etiquette to keep things as it should be... so try and get it Dep Director: Islam is not a 21st Century mind set.
