Well, what a surprise! I've been saying all along that the treacherous, Taliban backers are not to be trusted. Now they are out in the open, even the deluded liberal media should see what they have always been. Still this US administration continues to pore money in while India, a country with the largest democracy in the world and therefore is really the only reliable ally east of Eden, gets a dime tossed in it's direction now and again.
And don't you think, that billions of wasted dollars later, when NATO eventually leaves that wilderness Afghanistan, that Islam won't regress to their old ways? The reasoning as to why we went there in the first place was totally flawed; an outcome of the quality of decision making when 97% of politicians score a big FAT ZERO on the history of Islam.

The fact is: Islam and the West were in a continuous state of war for nearly 600 years. About 300 years ago, we in Europe won through, mainly because Islam got bogged down with their *7th century Shari Law, which forbade just about anything back then; especially anything scientific. So over the last 300 years, we in the West have had the world to shape more or less to our desire. But guess what...Islam never went away...it was only half-time and now they're back on the field. But having learned their lesson the hard way, Islam this time has incorporated science and technology into a Shari Law society.
So class, what has changed? Yes, quite right Jane. Nothing. They still want to kick the crap out of us and introduce Shari Law anywhere they can. And why do most of our politicians think that an Islamic country can be an ally? Yes, Jane? Right again. Because our leaders in the West don't know their history and are extremely gullible...the present so called nuclear negotiation discussions with Shari Law Iran being a good example.
You see class, the war with Islam never really went away...but most folk in the West still don't realise this fact. We attribute to what we designate as acts of terror against us, as an anomaly; just something emanating from the Department of Jihad. The fact is, what we call fundamental Islam received 70% of the vote in Egypt; and will score likewise in any Muslim country that allows it's population a free vote. The Jihadist mentality is anything but a fringe on the coat of Islam; it IS Islam; and it still wants to fulfill what Islam believes is it's ultimate destiny. A secular Muslim society is abhorrent to true believers, which the free vote has now splendidly demonstrated.
Unfortunately, I believe that it may take something as horrific as a dirty bomb used against one of our cities, to finally awaken the West to this disturbing truth.
