U2 are bringing their own stage to Glastonbury - Musicrooms.net: "The stage cost over $750,000 a day to construct and operate."
Hmm... Bono, The Edge and Co. The former, ever the ambassador for the poor and starving masses of the world, as Bono the Bold rubs rock icon shoulders with politicians, Pope and Hollywoods' finest. Now wouldn't you and I feel a little awkward with the juxtaposition? Isn't a big Glastonbury stage quite enough? Apparently not if you feel you really are the dog's scrotum. There is something vaguely disturbing about the designer sun-glassed one...
Thankfully musicians, music and megalomania aren't always fellow travelers.
