EGYPT'S FIRST STEP IN SCRAPPING THE PEACE TREATY WITH ISRAEL!

Egypt has unilaterally canceled its agreement to supply Israel with natural gas, in a new indication of the steadily deteriorating relations between the countries. Some leading Israeli politicians on Sunday characterized the cancellation as a major breach of the 1979 peace agreement.

It's just a little commercial disagreement on price. And don't say "bollocks" to me... |
However Netanyahu tries to make it sound like just a commercial consideration, you just have to listen to the mood music and Egypt's new Islamist power brokers. Egyptian presidential hopefuls Abdel Moneim Aboul Fotouh and Hamdeen Sabahi both stated their satisfaction with the turn of events. “The Egyptian people do not want to export gas to Israel and the president must act according to their wishes,” said Fotouh. Nothing ambiguous about his statement, PM! And...Ibrahim Yousri, a former Egyptian diplomat who had brought the issue to court, welcomed the decision announced Sunday.
I recall an old Desert Rat who fought the Nazis all through North Africa with the British 8th Army during WW2 saying to me, that it was the British soldiers experience with the Arabs that was summed up with "Trust the Arab's camel, but never them."
As I've said before: Israel should just take back the Sinia and NEVER return it to the devious, treacherous 7th century tossers. It's in the 1979 contract allowing Israel to do so the second Egypt breaks the so called peace agreement.

They've just taken the first test step to see how Israel reacts; and if Netanyahu really believes it's just a commercial decision, he's going soft in the head.
