Historical revisionists are in their own way, as dangerous as the Islamic Jihad terrorists...and here's an example why:
In discussing the 9/11 attacks, current American textbooks typically fail to mention that the perpetrators were Muslims or that they acted in the cause and philosophy of Islamic Jihad.
In one book the terrorists are portrayed as people simply fighting for a *cause. In just a few years after September 11th, the history of what happened on that day was rewritten in our school textbooks omitting by design or otherwise, this vital information: that Jihad was the motivation behind the attacks. The omission of context in which the attacks were perpetrated, makes it difficult if not impossible, for today’s young teens who don’t remember 9/11 to really understand what happened that day—and why.
“Education or Indoctrination? The Treatment of Islam in 6th through 12th Grade American Textbooks.” (actforamerica.org) The project to challenge this historical revisionism was begun four years ago by Act For America and it is hoped that these omissions and others found during this challenging project, will soon be included in future text book publications. * The Jihadist cause is nothing less than a commitment to destroy western style democracy, replacing it with an Islamic Shari Law society, Iran being a good example.
