Israel: Don't Expect Squit!

President Shimon Peres, (Israel Hayom)

Iran is nearing atomic weapons and in the time left we must turn to the world's nations and demand (they) fulfil their promise ... which is not merely passing sanctions. It must be understood that this problem is not just ours but the entire world's. Iran threatens not only Israel. What needs to be done must be done and there is a long list of options.
Israel: Forget the siren voices of 'a long list of options.' The only real option when you're dealing with a Nazi mentality like the regime in Iran, is to total their nuclear facilities. But expect to be alone with any preemptive strike. No other country, especially the US with Obama twiddling his failed sanction thumbs, will do squit. For years The West has done a collective Neville Chamberlain: a policy of appeasement and wishful thinking over the screaming reality. The only outcome now is that Iran will have it's WMD if no first strike is taken against them.
Israel is the only real potential target for Iran. And yes, Hamas and Hezbollah will do what comes naturally...so they must be really sorted out at the same time.
You would be going for broke, with as much at stake as the outcome of the Six Day War in 1967...but when has it ever been otherwise?

Ban Corrupt Countries From Cricket!

BBC Sport - Ban corrupt countries from cricket - Ex-ICC anti-corruption chief: Former International Cricket Council anti-corruption chief Lord Condon believes countries who fail to control their players should be banned from international cricket. Condon was speaking in the wake of the jailing of three Pakistan players found guilty of of conspiracy to cheat and conspiracy to accept corrupt payments.
Young Cricketer. "Yes, I cocked one off the splice in the gully and the blighter gathered it."
Father. "Yes, but how did you get out? Were you caught, stumped or bowled, or what?"
Cartoon from Punch, 21 July 1920.

Ah...the mystery of leather on willow. In what is called a Test Match, you'll need to have five days spare if you really want to savor each and every minute. Baseball it's not!

Muslims Stone Satan at Hajj.

Hundreds of thousands of Muslim pilgrims stoned Satan Sunday after gathering in a valley near the Saudi holy city of Mina. Each pilgrim must throw 21 pebbles at each of three pillars, representing the devil...or as we who are not fans of Islam, might say... Jihadists, Ahmadinajad, et al. After the stoning ceremony, off some of them go to plot some fancy fun against the ever present Infidel. (Photos: Copyright Control).

Monstrous Sunspot, Like The Width Of 17 Earths!

Monstrous Sunspot Rotates Toward Earth: Big Pic : Discovery News: "Nov. 5, 2011 -- There's a storm brewing on the sun's surface and it could unleash its magnetic fury on Earth within the next five days.
That ominous warning comes from solar scientists at the NOAA Space Weather Prediction Center who are tracking a huge group of sunspots that are slowly rotating to face our planet. As imaged by NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) in Friday, this is the largest group of sunspots seen on the sun since 2005. The largest sunspot (pictured below) is 17-times the width of the Earth."

Now...if it's coming our way and we're a little unlucky, we could eventually forget what electricity is. Why? Well it could fry every grid and take out every satellite. So...stock up on candles if you really don't like being in the dark...for the rest of your life. A tad sensational? Hopefully it is, as I kinda like doing the blogie thing.

Vikings And The Mysterious Stone...

Viking 'sunstone' more than a myth: "Over 1,000 years ago, before the invention of the compass, Vikings ventured thousands of kilometres from home toward Iceland and Greenland, and as far as North America, centuries ahead of Christopher Columbus.
Evidence shows that these fearless and fearsome seamen navigated by reading the position of the Sun and stars, and through an intimate knowledge of landmarks, currents and waves.

Anyone seen Kirk?
So why do the Yanks still persist in giving old Christopher the gong? (OK...so the Clovis were 10,000 years before anybody!) But how did the men of Thor and pillage find their way on cloudy days and these scary, starless, salty-sea nights? Ah...you'll need to click the link to find out the full answer...

Iran's Hypocrisy...Oh An Big Time Amnesia!

"Iran on Saturday lashed out at the US and Israel over their reported threats against Tehran, saying that the "military threats are a blatant violation of international law."The threats by the US and Israel violate the international laws," Iranian Ambassador to Uruguay Hojjatollah Soltani told the Fars news agency, adding that all international organizations, including the UN, must condemn the belligerent rhetoric." (Ynetnews).
Yes...we are a peace loving nation. We love all peoples with a few
exceptions: Jews, Christians, the Hindu and Buddhist...well all
infidels actually. Next question.

Question for you, Mr Ali Akbar Salenhi; Doesn't your little Iranian President go on every five minuets about 'wiping Israel off the map'? If Iran's galloping hypocrisy could be converted into gold bars, Fort Knox would need to triple in size. This sinister, repugnant regime of Iran is a like a puss filed boil that requires immediate lancing. So lance away, I say!

Anyone Home?

Bright lights, big city - and possibly aliens - Metro - The Boston Globe: "“Looking for alien cities would be a long shot, but wouldn’t require extra resources,” Loeb, the director of the Institute for Theory and Computation within the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics in Cambridge, said in a statement released by the center. “And if we succeed, it would change our perception of our place in the universe."

Yep...I've asked them to keep their lights on, Lou!
As to our place in the Universe; on a scale of 1-10 regarding intelligence? Oh I suppose we'd be on a -4. Any super intelligence would regard us as a potential danger to anything within a couple of light years out from the little spec of cosmic dust which we regard as home. I doubt if we'd even be put on the waiting list for the cosmic kinder garden. Indeed, intelligence is not the first word that would come to the mind of any ancient aliens that could have evolved to exist as pure energy.
Oh well...let's get back to the really important stuff on planet Earth: what's happening to young Master  Beaver Bieber?
