CLOAKING DEVICE? I'LL HAVE TWO PLEASE.

Physicists in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at MIT have developed a new theory derived from calculations that suggest it should be possible to construct an electron cloaking device, similar in principle to invisibility cloaks that other researchers have created using meta-materials. The team, whose study was recently published in Physical Review suggests that such a cloaking device could be useful in making semiconductors that optimize electron mobility. (Oh...and hiding from the boss, tax collectors and folk you owe money to).

Israel: Tel Aviv, The Place To Be!

Tel Aviv Among 25 Most Innovative Cities! A total of 25 cities were selected from hundreds of candidates in a competiton sponsored by Citibank. Tel Aviv is competing against New York, London, Berlin, Chicago, Singapore, Hong Kong, Sao Paolo, Toronto, Vienna, Copenhagen, and others. High tech and super beaches were among the reasons given. In July this year, leading travel magazine CondeNast ranked Tel Aviv as one of the world's 10 best cities for architecture lovers. "Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Tel Aviv's 'White City' contains 4,000 International Style buildings, many of which are in the Bauhaus style and were built in the 1930s and 1940s," CondeNast's website noted. Lonely Planet voted Tel Aviv among the top 10 ultimate party cities.

Defense contractor Lockheed Martin, one of the biggest employers in this battle ground state of Virginia, has heeded a "request" from the White House today — ONE WITH MAJOR POLITICAL OVERTONES — when it announced it will NOT now issue layoff notices to thousands of employees just days before the November presidential election! Such massive layoffs could have threatened Obama’s standing in the state he won in 2008 and is hoping to carry again this November. So...any of you would be Obama voters working at Lockheed take note... you'll be shafted by Obama's late Christmas present to you... oh around January 2. Happy Holidays!

The Lefty Sisterhood, famously known as great admirers of all that is Islam, when not at bongo lessons or marching with the great unwashed, really should pay great heed to what one of their betters is saying. According to the Koran, their betters being ANY man. The Egyptian cleric Abd Al-Rahman recently explained on Al-Nas television how a man is permitted to beat his wife. “A good woman, even if beaten by her husband, puts her hand in his and says: ‘I will not rest until you are pleased with me.’ Yep...you just can't beat good old fashioned Islamic values! (no pun intended).

Now...I'm not a fan of this fantasy sheet but for a healthy democracy you need all the various folks to put their two pennies worth in. For as the quote, (widely attributed to Voltaire) says: "I may not agree with what you say, but I shall defend to my death your right to say it." Unfortunately, not a quote that's likely to be heard in a mosque any time soon...

Meanwhile the liberals and left don't have ANY problems with anyone turning up to vote even if they've just fallen off the back of a truck form Mexico. Not showing any ID puts the U.S. on par with the system much favored by third world despots. JEZ...even the Egyptian elections were 100% less bent!
