Simon Peres: A stranger to ever making the right call

President Shimon Peres is under attack for undercutting the elected government's stance on the Iranian threat. Besides stating a position that runs counter to the Prime Minister's in a television interview, he is also reported to have accused Netanyahu and Defense Minister Ehud Barak, in closed conversations, of "terrible irresponsibility" in the Iranian matter. Peres forgets that he made at least three cardinal mistakes regarding state security. 

(1) The Oslo Accord that he thought would create a new Middle East and instead led to more than 1,000 Israel deaths from terror attacks that emanated from the territory he gave the Arabs.

(2) His support for the 2005 Gaza "Disengagement," which he thought would lead to peace and resulted in rocket attacks on southern Israel. 
(3) His worst miscalculation was his objection to the 1981 attack on the Iraqi nuclear plant.
The Israeli Labor Party - mostly honorable and decent folks - have seldom been able to comprehend that those who seek Israel's destruction are NOT like them! This inability to recognise a snake when it presents itself as a cuddly kitten is not only their Achilles heel, but their non judgement represents almost as big a danger to Israel as her numerous Islamofascist enemies.

Reading Haaretz Brings On Dangerous Delusions!

Seven years ago today, from August 15, 2005 until August 22, 2005, Jewish residents were evacuated from their homes in the Gaza Strip block of communities known as "Gush Katif"...and what a fuckin' big mistake THAT turned out to be! Some people whom one would think should be able to read a script, still day dream - against a backdrop of daily Islamist diatribes threatening genocide -  that continuing dialogue will lead to peace with these Islamofascist Palestinian mutants. NOPE!

Mursi legal adviser reportedly mulling 
amendments to peace treaty with Israel!
Mohammed Gadallah, the legal adviser to Egyptian President Mohammed Mursi, told the Egyptian media yesterday that Mursi was looking into the possibility of amending the Camp David Accords to expand Egypt’s control over the Sinai. The accords give Egypt full sovereignty and control of the entire peninsula, but Egypt is only allowed to keep a small force in much of the territory, as per the 1979 peace treaty with Israel.

We'll scrap that abomination to ali-baba and do what we like
in the Sinai.

Let the Islamist fuckers mull all they like. They've had muffins and tea with every Jihad jerk-off who are now roaming the Sinai and the last thing for Israel to do now is sanction as much as a jot of change to the treaty. Doing so would give a green light to the Islamofascist Muslim Brotherhood to bring in trains and boats and planes, opening the door to who knows what. And...Israel should take back the Sinai  if the tossers put in even one jeep too many.
The MB's 7th century Sharia Law will soon be applied in Egypt, then spread to every nook and cranny of Arab real estate (and all over the world if the bastards have their way) courtesy of the outcome of that much loved liberal thing, the so called Arab Spring. There is some debate as to the year of Hooker's birth (August 22, 1917 ? – June 21, 2001) in Coahoma County, Mississippi, the youngest of the eleven children of William Hooker (1871–1923) a sharecropper and Baptist preacher and Minnie Ramsey (born 1875, date of death unknown). After his father's death, the next year, his mother married William Moore, a blues singer who provided Hooker with his first introduction to the guitar (and whom John would later credit for his distinctive playing style). John's stepfather was his first outstanding blues influence. William Moore was a local blues guitarist who learned in Shreveport, Louisiana to play a droning, one-chord blues that was strikingly different from the Delta blues of the time. At the age of 15, John Lee Hooker ran away from home, reportedly never seeing his mother or stepfather again. 

Throughout the 1930s, Hooker lived in Memphis, Tennessee where he worked on Beale Street. He worked in factories in various cities during World War II, drifting until he found himself in Detroit in 1948 working at Ford Motor Company. He felt right at home near the blues venues and saloons on Hastings Street, the heart of black entertainment on Detroit's east side. In a city noted for its pianists, guitar players were scarce. Performing in Detroit clubs, his popularity grew quickly and, seeking a louder instrument than his crude acoustic guitar, he bought his first electric guitar. Among the atists who have covered his songs are: Buddy Guy, Cream, AC/DC, ZZ Top, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Van Morrison, The Yardbirds, The Animals, The Doors and The White Stripes. Among his many awards, Hooker has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and in 1991 he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Two of his songs, "Boogie Chillen" and "Boom Boom" were included in the list of The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's 500 Songs that Shaped Rock and Roll. "Boogie Chillen" was included as one of the Songs of the Century. He was also inducted in 1980 into the Blues Hall of Fame. In 2000, Hooker was awarded the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.
