Tuesday Toon #8

Ryland Peter "Ry" Cooder (born March 15, 1947) is an American guitarist, singer, composer, film scorer and record producer. He is known for his slide guitar work, his interest in roots music from the United States and his collaborations with traditional musicians from many countries. His solo work has been eclectic; encompassing folk, blues, Tex-Mex, soul, gospel, rock, composing film music (Paris, Texas) and very much more. He has collaborated with many musicians, including Larry Blackmon, The Rolling Stones, Van Morrison, Neil Young & Crazy Horse, Randy Newman, Earl Hines, Little Feat, Captain Beefheart, The Chieftains, John Lee Hooker to name but a few. Ry Cooder conceived, produced and played on the project alongside the Cuban musicians/composers, that would become known to the world in 1977 as the Buena Vista Social Club. The album went on to become a worldwide hit. In 1999, Wim Wenders directed the documentary film of the same name which was nominated for an Academy Award in 2000. Ry Cooder is probably one of the most liked and respected musicians both among his peers and younger musicians. (Wikipedia)

The Palestinian terrorists who murdered 11 Israeli athletes at the 1972 Olympics were assisted by a German neo-Nazi, the German news-magazine reported. The neo-Nazi, named as Willi Pohl, helped forge passports and ferried one of the Black September terror cell ringleaders around Germany in the weeks before the Olympic massacre.
Based on recently released files from Germany’s security service BfV, der Spiegel reported Sunday that Pohl had met with Saad Walli, an “Arab-looking man” who boasted of his contacts to the radical wing of the Palestine Liberation Organization, seven weeks before the massacre in September 1972. Saad Walli was the code name of Abu Daoud, one of the planners behind the attack.
The 2,000-page report, which the police of the city of Dortmund sent to the BfV and other national authorities, does not mention any efforts made by any of the contacted officials to apprehend Abu Daoud in the weeks prior to the massacre.
In October 1972 Phol was arrested by the police and was found in possession of grenades, arms and ammunition. The weapons were thought to be held in keeping for Black September to be used in a retaliatory attack against German targets. He was sentenced to only two years in prison.
Pohl, according to Der Spiegel, helped Abu Daoud in several ways. He helped him forge passports and other documents and drove him “across the country, where he met with Palestinians in several cities,” the magazine quotes Pohl as saying. (wjd.com)
Well, there's a surprise! During WW2 the Arabs and the Nazis were hand and glove...and nothing has changed!

Israel: Push Back Time Long Overdue!

US Group Launches ‘African Voices for Israel’

You see? Not everyone is taken in by the Islamist,
Radical Left and liberal media's
disinformation machines.
American Voices in Israel, promoted by major U.S. Jewish groups, has launched Africa’s Voices in Israel to widen support for the Jewish State.
The Conference of Presidents of Major Jewish Organizations helped established American Voices for Israel to bring U.S.-based radio talk show hosts to see Israel and broadcast their programs live from Jerusalem.
They have toured the country and have met with political, cultural, finance and scientific leaders to help them disseminate a fairer picture of Israel than what is generally published in mainstream media.
The African Voices for Israel will invite Christian pastors as well as African-American and Hispanic community leaders, said AVI Chairman, George Rohr.
He said that African personalities will be given “an opportunity to explore Israel's business, cultural, historical and religious landscapes with a goal towards increasing mutually beneficial programs between the Jewish State and emerging African nations.”
The inaugural Africa's Voices in Israel mission, featuring a delegation of Bank Governors from Kenya, Uganda, South Sudan, Zambia, Ghana and Swaziland arrived in Israel on Sunday.
During their five-day visit, the African Bank Governors will meet with Bank of Israel Governor Stanley Fischer, Minister of Finance, Yuval Steinitz and other Israeli business and banking leaders.
Part of the tour will include the Save A Child's Heart project at the Wolfson Medical Center, where 40 percent of the patients are young children from Africa. (Arutz Sheva) (Photo: Copyright Control)

Another Gaza Flotilla, Anyone?

Bülent Yildirim, a key figure behind the 2010 Gaza flotilla, is under investigation for funding terror group Al Qaida. Bülent Yildirim is the president of the IHH, a Turkish charity that was one of the main planners of the Gaza flotilla. The IHH is widely considered a terrorist organization by a number of bodies - including the Israeli government - and has been accused of maintaining ties with a number of terror organizations such as Al Qaida.
Who's the schmuck waving? Why it's Big Schmuck of
that IHH "charity".
The Israeli Intelligence and Information Center, knows that the IHH is affiliated with Hamas and the Union of the Good, an Islamic umbrella affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood.
In 2006, a report issued by the Danish Institute for International Studies stated that during the 1990s the IHH maintained links with al-Qaida and a number of "global jihad networks." The report also said it's Intel showed that the IHH had bought automatic weapons from Islamist terrorists.
The then Turkish government launched a raid on the organization’s Istanbul offices, where they found weapons, explosives, and instructions for bomb-making. The report added that an examination of documents found at the IHH office indicated that the group was planning to take part in terrorist activities in Afghanistan, Chechnya, and Bosnia. A French intelligence report found that in the mid-1990s Yildirim recruited soldiers for jihad activities in a number of Muslim countries and that the IHH transferred money, firearms, and explosives to jihadists in said countries. The motley crew of Islamofascists, Radical Lefties and liberal limps, who all took part in the last Gaza Armada; are the latter still up for it? Isn't there anything that can make them realize what a bunch of deluded saddos they are, by slinging their hook with the scum of the sea?

Saturday Song #2

Dion Francis DiMucci (left) was born July 18, 1939 to an Italian-American family in the Bronx, New York City. As a child he used to accompany his father who was a vaudeville entertainer, on tour. It was during this time that Dion developed a love of country music – particularly Hank Williams – as well as a fondness for the blues and doo-wop stars he heard in local bars and on the radio. His singing was honed on the street corners and local clubs of the Bronx, where he and other neighborhood singers created cappella licks. Better know as Dion, he's an American singer-songwriter whose work has incorporated elements of doo-wop, pop, oldies music, rock and R&B styles, to straight blues in his recent work. He was one of the most popular American rock and roll performers of the era. After teaming up with his friends, The Belmonts (Carlo Mastrangelo, Fred Milano, and Angelo D'Aleo), a vocal group named after the nearby Belmont Avenue - the new group's breakthrough came in early 1958 before the British invasion, headed by The Beatles. Dion (sometimes with and without the Belmonts) had over a dozen Top 40 hits in the late 1950s and early 60s; but he is perhaps best remembered for the 1961 hit singles *"Runaround Sue" and "The Wanderer". In the early 1970s with more mature, contemplative material such as "Abraham, Martin & John" he has continued making music to the present day; earning reappraisals and praise from critics who earlier dismissed him as a teen idol. In 1989, Dion had agreed to do a concert of his old hits at Radio City in New York. There he shared the stage with fans such as Bruce Springsteen, Paul Simon and Lou Reed, all of whom cited Dion as one of their prime influences. Dion was elected to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1989, the induction speech being given by Lou Reed. In that same year, he returned to rock music with the contemporary album Yo Frankie, which included guest appearances by Paul Simon, Lou Reed, k.d. lang, Patty Smith and Bryan Adams. The album was produced by Dave Edmunds, who also played guitar on the album. *(with the Del-Satins, backing vocals) (Wikipedia)
