A 17-year-old then unknown Bob Dylan attended the January 31, 1959 concert in which Buddy Holly was appearing; just two nights before Holly's death. Dylan referred to this in his 1998 Grammy acceptance speech for his "Time Out Of Mind" being named Album of the Year:
"And I just want to say that when I was sixteen or seventeen years old, I went to see Buddy Holly play at Duluth National Guard Armory and I was three feet away from him...and he LOOKED at me. And I just have some sort of feeling that he was — I don't know how or why — but I know he was with us all the time we were making our record, in some kind of way."

Note: Norman Petty owned the studio in which Holly recorded with the Crickets. 

Petty's name always appears as a co-writer with Holly, even though Petty never wrote or 

co-wrote any of the songs! The deal was this: Holly could have use of the studio,
 and in return, he Petty would share a writing credit and therefore receive 
 50% of any writing royalty. Holly also wrote under the name Charles Hardin.

Charles Hardin Holley (September 7, 1936 – February 3, 1959), known professionally as Buddy Holly, was an American singer-songwriter and a pioneer in recording techniques: to name but a few, Holly was the first to double track, use strings, knee drumming and first to be his own Producer! Just think: in only18 months, Holly wrote, recorded and produced some of the most seminal and cross-over and creative music before his death in an airplane crash. Holly is described by critic Bruce Eder as "the single most influential creative force in early rock and roll." His works and innovations inspired and influenced contemporary and later musicians, notably The  Beatles, Elvis Costello, The Rollig Stones, Don McClean, Bob Dylan, and Eric Clapton, and exerted a profound influence on popular music.  Holly was among the first group of inductees to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1986. In 2004, Rolling Stone ranked Holly #13 among "The Fifty Greatest Artists of All Time". ^{(Wikipedia) (Photo: Copyright Control)}

The Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Kadima leader Shaul Mofaz have presented to their factions a three-page agreement that they have signed, regarding Kadima's entry into the government. Both sides agreed that "historic challenges" facing Israel require a wide government. The sides also agree to work together to change the current system of elections and governance in Israel. The current system will be replaced by one that enhances government stability and will make it more possible for the elected prime minister to complete his term in office. Well...lets see if this becomes the case. The fact that in the current system the tail wags the dog and every second politician in Israel goes off in the huff and forms their own party, should have been buried long,long ago. But will common sense and a much needed reformed electoral system really happen? 
Boy,it better! Israel of all nations, can't afford the endless distractions of egos and idiots walking out with their pet policy poodles pissing on the chips.

Death Of The Dollar?

U.S. Agrees To Back China’s Bid To Make The Yuan A Global Reserve Currency!
Treasury Secretary Geithner’s Beijing meeting succeeds in giving the yuan global currency status. Dire implications for the U.S. dollar.

Last week, I warned how U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner — the man whose chief responsibility is upholding the integrity of the U.S. dollar and its purchasing power ...was running off to Beijing to convince China’s leaders that the U.S. dollar had to go down in value ... and that China’s currency, the yuan, had to rise. Many thought I was nuts, just like they did when I first started warning that Beijing and Washington were in cahoots in an effort to devalue the U.S. dollar.

But now, it’s clear: Geithner has accomplished his goal. In news just released late Sunday night, the U.S. has effectively agreed to back China’s bid to have the International Monetary Fund give the yuan global reserve currency status.
If you’re an American, you must stand up and take notice. Yes, China’s economy has come a long way. Yes, China’s economy is now the second largest in the world. Yes, China should have an important say in the global economy. And yes, China also engages in unfair trade practices. But if anyone’s guilty of unfair trade practices, it’s Timothy Geithner. He is selling out the purchasing power of your dollars and trading them for a stronger Chinese currency.
The yuan could have simply continued to expand its international clout naturally, taking the next few years to gain official reserve currency status along with the dollar and the euro. But that’s not what Beijing or Washington want. Both parties want it to happen NOW.
Chief reason: There’s a cancer in today’s global economy — debt and deflation — and Washington and Beijing both know that the only way to cure it is to DEVALUE the world’s single largest reserve currency, the U.S. dollar, to stoke up the flames of inflation.
This is PRECISELY what I have been warning everyone about. As the dollar is devalued against the yuan — your cost of living WILL skyrocket.
That’s what happens when the dollar is devalued. We saw it in the late 1970s, when the dollar’s value plunged and inflation soared. We saw it again in the mid-1980s when the dollar was devalued against the Japanese yen, and select commodity prices shot again to the moon. And we’ve seen it happen again and again over the last decade — as the dollar lost more than 30% of its purchasing power ... and the prices of everything from eggs to gasoline have jumped wildly.

Thing is, the dollar is now more vulnerable than ever before. Besides the forward march of the yuan — the dollar is being saddled by our Federal Reserve who stands ready to print up trillions more dollars at the drop of a hat! (C) Larry Edelson.

Hundreds of prominent Muslim clerics in India have demanded that India break off diplomatic ties with Israel, the Indo-Asian News Service (IANS) reported Monday. Defense trade between Israel and India has developed rapidly and is valued in billions of dollars. Shi"ite Muslim clerics also called for shutting down Indian"s embassy in the United States.

The clerics, including Kalbe Jawwad, accuse Israel and the United States of being the *"biggest sponsors" of international terrorism and that India should focus on improving relations with the Palestinian Authority, Iran and Syria. (Top suggestion from Kalbe: Must file it away immediately under: "Mad As Fuck". 
Kalbe Jawwad, a cleric and member of the All-India Muslim Personal Law Board, alleged that there has been a "flood of terror attacks in India" since Israel established an embassy in the country. (Yes...there has been a "flood of terror attacks in India" as he puts it. That's because it's you, the Death Cult Crew,     who are busy bombing, murdering and destroying everything that's not as off the Mosque wall as yourselves!) He also accused that the Congress-led union government of India of "defaming the Muslim community as a whole." (Oh, the Muslim community: you tossers can do most excellently by yourselves in that department. If you don't like and can't accept living in a democratic country like India, why don't you all piss off to that Pak Muslim Paradise and act as mad as you like there?)

On Holocaust Remembrance Day, Obama unveiled an “Atrocities Prevention Board” to, in his own words, “prevent and respond to mass atrocities”. While Obama mentioned ‘atrocities’ twelve times in his speech, he only mentioned ‘genocide’ three times and one of those times he was quoting from the mission statement of the Holocaust Museum. Obama described this actual genocide - the mass murder carried out by Islamists under the direction of the Sudanese government - as a ‘conflict’ Meanwhile, Syrian President Omar al-Bashir, whom he urged in his speech to have the “courage” to negotiate and make peace, is wanted by the International Criminal Court on charges of genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity!

There is no comparison between the actions of Gaddafi or Gbago and those of Bashir; yet Obama ignored actual genocide, and defiled the Holocaust Memorial Museum by using it as a stage for whitewashing one of the world’s worst ruling mass murderers.

The uniform shout of the Iranian nation is forever ‘Death to Israel,' Mohammad Hassan Rahimian, the personal representative of the Supreme Leader, appeared on Hezbollah’s Al-Manar television to boast that, “We have manufactured missiles that allow us, when necessary, to replace (sic) Israel in its entirety with a big holocaust.” 

That Israel holds the largest Jewish population in the world, and considering the very real threat of Iran with WMDs; and with that ongoing threat of genocide against Israel, but never a mention of this very real possibility once passed Obama's lips.
