Israeli innovation now being used in Nigeria and Sudan.

Rosetta Green is using a technology that can identify MicroRNAs, which are short RNA molecules that play an important role in the regulation of key genetic traits in major crops. The MicroRNAs identified by the company were used to develop prototype plants with significantly improved drought tolerance. The genetic modification was performed by plant tissue culture methods that result in genetic transformation, and this “improved trait” survives from one generation to another, according to Avniel.
Plants that were modified by this micro-RNA gene and control plants that did not undergo such modification were irrigated with salt water with triple the salinity level of seawater. Subsequently, both plant groups were put back on a regular irrigation conditions. Researchers found that only the genetically modified plants were able to recover from the severe stress and continued to grow, while control plants completely wilted.
The company’s CTO, Rudy Maor, told NoCamels that “the extreme conditions under which the experiment was conducted reinforce the importance of these genes and their advantage over other techniques used to improve plants.” Maor added that “agricultural areas constitute only about 10 percent  of global land area and the development of advanced technologies that may render plants capable of growth in additional areas, such as deserts, is critical for food supply to the ever growing world population.” (nocamels).

Hackers Hacked Off!

Hackers post in forum that attack is a response to “lame” Saudi attack on Israelis, including TA Stock Exchange and El Al websites, add that if Saudi attacks continue, they will hit back harder.

Israeli hackers said they brought down the official websites of Saudi Arabia’s monetary agency and Abu Dhabi’s securities exchange on Tuesday in retaliation for a denial of service attack on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange the previous day. Both official websites did appear to be offline following the announcement by the Israeli hackers. An Israeli hacker told The Jerusalem Post that members of the Israel Defenders internet group were behind the attack.The Israeli hackers said in a message on a forum that their actions came “because lame hackers from Saudi Arabia decided to launch an attack against Israeli sites,” noting the denial of service attacks against TASE and El Al, as well as three Israeli banks on Monday. It Was 50 Years Ago This Year...

For those who were on the earth then, it seems totally bazaar that The Beatles first came to public attention on the 5th October 1962.  Unknown to most outside of Liverpool or Hamburg, The Beatles released their first single in the UK on that date; and the rest as they say is history.
Blowing open musical doors for legions to fall through and even today, to an ear tutored in the '60's they still influence those who pick up a guitar for simple pleasure or perhaps elusive fame.

Eleanor Rigby from their1966 album "Revolver" is still as powerful and dark as the day when first heard.

"Western powers say it's a cover for a nuclear weapons program. What Imperialist lies! My Iranian comrade says that he's only exercising his legitimate rights as there's an acute shortage of oil and gas in his Islamic homeland." The not so big O went on, "I'm certain this would bring about great peace in the region, er once the problem of Israel has be taken care of!" The former Marxist guerrilla and self confessed Guevara sycophant, whooped before kissing the startled little Iranian fella full on the lips, with some might say, the merest suggestion of a wayward tongue.

Smells Like Weakness And Yet Another Obama Cop-Out!

A joint Israel/US massive missile defence drill planned for the spring has been cancelled and rescheduled  for the end of the year, amid concern the exercise could lead to an escalation with Iran.

"Amid concern?" Concern for guess who! So yet another Obama cop-out moment. Why would a "defence plan" raise the "tension"? And so what! Keeping the fuckers in Iran on their toes should be a top agenda item pursued at every opportunity. But...with the usual Obama limp wristed way, he's once again shown his ineptitude. One more good reason to send him back to Illinois this year!

The ideological offspring of the ‘progressives’ that were hoping the West would lose the Cold War became the nihilist leftovers of today. Hatred of the United States is one great attractor. The Mufti promoted Nazism amongst the Arabs, blending National Socialism with fundamentalist Islam. After the war, he fled to Cairo where he accommodated fleeing Nazis and planned the destruction of Israel. Al-Husseini did not only target Jews but also moderate Arabs and the democratic West in general. Nazism was the spiritual and physical bridge bringing ideological extremism to the Arab world. When the Soviet Union
became the champion of the Arab cause, hatred of Israel started migrating to the Left. Arab leaders like Gamal Abdel Nasser, Saddam Hussein and Yasser Arafat were all influenced by the Mufti’s ideas.
