FACEBOOK: COSY WITH MERKEL'S FATHERLAND!

Facebook insists on rules re censorship, then it should at the very least administer those rules in a fair and balanced way; but it doesn't. 

The evidence shows that Facebook doesn't even pretend to administer its censorship in any way that approximates fairness.

E.G: Posts critical of Chancellor Merkel's migrant policies: such as allowing Muslims unfettered access to Germany; German police being instructed to down play or even leave out any reference in their reports to any Muslim committed crimes of rape or murder. However, a whistle blower leaked this German police report which was published in the German media. 

In Facebook though, any mention of this is now categorised by them as "Islamophobia"; a phrase, by the way, manufactured within the PR department of the Muslim Brotherhood. 

According to Merkel's and Facebook's thought police, anyone pointing out Islam's agenda for the E.U. violates Facebook's "Community Standards". Meanwhile, posts with incitement to actual violence against we infidels - and the murder of Jews and Israelis by Islamists and Palestinian Arabs - is considered as conforming to Facebook's "Community Standards" 

Notwithstanding the lawsuits which quite rightly are being brought against Facebook; it's bias was yet again exposed, when it recently restored a Palestinian Arab terrorist group's Facebook page; one which incites hatred and violence against Jews and Israel on a daily bases. This, despite having shut this page down only three days earlier!

In 2016 alone, this page had a minimum of 130 posts glorifying actual terror committed by Islam's *Palestinian "heroes" who had murdered Jewish men, woman and children.

New thinking on the Israeli-Palestinian peace process: towards a hybrid approach. The peace process is currently at an impasse. Bringing the parties together for another intensive effort at reaching a deal will not succeed. New thinking and creative solutions are required. so saith the "experts".

It is not "new thinking" that is needed. It a change in the Palestinian mentality. However, to achieve this lofty goal requires giving a lobotomy to a few million Muslim Arabs - which would entail a whole lot of time and expense with the outcome still very uncertain.

The author Herb London - a no waffle man - once tried to make a couple of previous U.S. presidents understand something fundamental; that the problem wasn't about land, final borders or the status of Jerusalem. Nope.The problem was, and has always been, the inability of the Palestinian Muslims EVER to accept a small Jewish state along side one of their own. 
Israel will remain the only democracy in the middle east, perhaps for the rest of the 21st century.

Goode” was chosen by Carl Sagan to be included on the golden record of Earth Sounds and Music launched with Voyager in 1977.

While many songs of the '50s were mostly "moon and June", Berry wrote real life. He and Little Richard were singing about shagging and cross dressers right under our whitie noses. 
Berry of course being a black man, was ripped off big time in a biz that attracts more crocs and venomous snakes than you'll find up the Amazon.

AMERICA'S HEALTH CARE DEBACLE!

But shouldn't the real and only story worth discussing among Americans is why is it the only democracy in the western hemisphere that thinks the health of its citizens should be regarded as a profit making enterprise?
Health care and how it would be funded in the UK, ceased to be an issue 70 years ago with the founding of the NHS; the National Health Service. There are also private health companies with their own hospitals etc which many UK citizens are prepared to pay a monthly subscription - or just pay for a one off procedure. Perhaps a unique feature of the UK system is that one will find the very same consultants and doctors working in the NHS also in private health care practice.

To fund health care free at the point of entry in the UK, everyone pays into a common pot on a sliding scale, dependent on ones gross income. And yes, it's the government who collect the moolah; but here's how it works.

Each hospital is given a sum of money dependent on certain criteria: e.g. size of hospital, whether a specialist facility, location, in a city, etc. It is then up to the management of each health facility to budget for the needs of that particular hospital or GP practice; NOT the government.

American's seem to choke on the idea of government as tax collector around issues of health; but doesn't the US government act as tax collector to divvy up for defense etc? Do Americans call that socialism? Nope. So what's their problem when it comes to anything related to health?
There is something rather 19th century capitalist thinking in America that everything should turn a profit; but in the 21st century, health care really shouldn't be one of them.

 For $15.3 billion, Intel Corp said on Monday that it has agreed to buy the Israeli company, Mobileye; a Jerusalem based developer of advanced vision and driver assistance systems. Intel hopes this will position the company as a leading technology player in the fast-growing self-driving car market.
Mobileye develops the sensors and artificial intelligence that allow a vehicle’s on-board computer to essentially know where it is in relation to other vehicles, pedestrians and the surroundings - the key technologies needed for cars to eventually safely drive themselves. The deal, the largest ever purchase of an Israeli high-tech company, was hailed across Israel as a sign of the country’s technological prowess.
What a future: not only governments and smart underpants telling you off, the car will have some smarmy sounding woman going tut, tut, tut if you even think about taking the wheel. Oh...I forgot...there won't be one! And I read somewhere some geek "expert" wittering about AI and no more traffic jams in LA. Yeah, right; this I must see.

The network was announced today as part of a new Digital Strategy focusing on expanding digital skills in the UK. The strategy includes the creation of five international tech hubs in emerging markets, based on the UK Israel Tech Hub model founded in Israel five years ago. The new hubs will create and develop partnerships between UK companies and local tech firms. Since its creation, the UK Israel Tech Hub has facilitated over 80 bilateral tech partnerships, with a deal value of £62 million.

The UK Israel Tech Hub was founded in the UK Embassy in Tel Aviv in 2011, aimed at promoting tech and innovation partnerships between the two countries. The Hub focuses on several areas with high potential for partnerships, such as online retail and fintech, biomed, cyber, mobility, smart cities, cleantech, educational technologies, creative industries and Arabic online content. HOW MUCH CHICKEN IS IN YOUR CHICKEN?

According to some testing by a Canadian lab, Subway chicken contains less than 50 percent chicken DNA. From another perspective, the University of Guelph food scientist Ben Bohrer said he does not know how the products that the Marketplace investigation tested were made but he explained what is known as restructured products in the fast food industry. Restructured products are in essence ground meat or smaller pieces of meat that were bound together with other ingredients so they would last longer, taste better, and even cost cheaper.
Fighting back, Subway Canada said in a statement that they cannot confirm the veracity of the lab tests' results. The company said that its oven roasted chicken and chicken strips contain only 1 percent or less of soy protein, which it uses to stabilize mixture and texture. The company added that all of the chicken items it offers are 100 percent white meat chicken that has been marinated, oven-roasted and grilled.
"We tested our chicken products recently for nutritional and quality attributes and found it met our food quality standards," Subway said, adding that it will look into the matter with its supplier to ascertain that the chicken it offers to customers meet the highest standards it has set for all of its ingredients and menu items. Mine's a veggie burger, hold the mayo.

ARE WE ALONE IN THE UNIVERSE?

Let's get the dumbest and most arrogant of human questions out of the way a.k.a. are we alone in the universe? 
A model to help get your head around things. If you could count every grain of sand from ever beach and desert on earth, the number would still not add up to the number of stars in the known universe. And if only one advanced tech society existed in every know galaxy in the universe (ours being the Milky Way galaxy with a hundred billion suns, so that's us, folks) the universe would still be filled with billions of advanced life species. 
Now, having got that out of the way...the discovery of seven Earth-like planets orbiting a nearby star has really gotten everyone who has an interest in the possibility of space colonization thinking. Found by NASA's orbiting Spitzer Space Telescope and the ground-based TRAPPIST Telescope, there seems to be at least seven Earth-sized planets orbiting the star TRAPPIST-1.

The biggest surprise was that three or four of these planets are in the so called Goldilocks Zone - not too far from the star, not too close, not too big for a planet, not too small – a sweet spot where liquid water is stable on the right-sized planet with an atmosphere on which life could develop or survive if transplanted. 
But this very young sun - only 500 million years old, 39 light years away from our Solar System - is an ultra red dwarf; so no sun tans to be had there, then. 
Even if complex life had not yet evolved in the TRAPPIST-1 system, the distance to these new worlds for humans to screw up, is not reachable with anything that we have - or likely to have - for who knows how long.  
Even traveling at near the speed of light, 39+ earth years is still be a bugger of a long, one way journey. Nope, this is for your future robot cousins to contemplate, not we organics.

HALF BAKED FRENCH LOAF!

 A thousand percent price rise for your life saving drug? Well, some "health economist" - before leaving you mud splattered from their wheel spinning Ferrari - has concluded you're still getting a real bargain.
Some may recall, the mantra "too big to fail"? Similar "experts" from the academic community - armed with  empirical evidence - gave their backing to political elites; who in turn press ganged the ordinary, tax paying Chuck and Cindies of America, to join that 2008 Financial Crash Fiasco Party.
Beware the academic priesthood; a very large contingent of them couldn't get their Nazi Party membership card through the mail fast enough.
