Israeli special forces are being deployed in Gaza searching for hidden rockets and weapons, according the the UK Sunday Times, amid fears that a desperate Hamas might affix chemical weapons to its remaining Iran supplied long-range Fajr-5 missiles. According to the report in the London weekly, which was not attributed to any source, the commandos are looking for missiles hidden underground, a favorite tactic of Hamas.
As Gaza terrorists over the weekend targeted Tel Aviv, a concern for Israeli officials is the threat that Hamas may fit chemical warheads on its long-range Fajr-5 missiles, the newspaper said, quoting an unnamed defense source. (Sunday Times).

A new NASA study shows that from 1978 to 2010 the total extent of sea ice surrounding Antarctica in the Southern Ocean grew by roughly 6,600 square miles every year, an area larger than the state of Connecticut. And previous research by the same authors indicates that this rate of increase has recently accelerated, up from an average rate of almost 4,300 square miles per year from 1978 to 2006. It's a lot more complex than watching an Al Gore video. Is the earth warming? Yes. But...in the last 2 million years when we weren't anywhere to be seen, the ice sheets waxed and waned 20 times, with an average of around 5000 years in the "away" box before the ice returned once more. So another *Ice Age is overdue by a few thousand years. And guess what; had it been any different, we'd still be in caves! For it took 10,000+ years to get us from wearing bear skins to having a high tech society. With sea level rise - even with it's massive attendant social upheaval - we can still retreat from the coastal areas...but when a mile high cliff of ice comes calling once more, lasting on average of 75,000 years, we're fucked! *(Any geologist will explain to you that we are still technically IN an Ice Age! According to MIT egg-head Paek, in his proposal he used the asteroid Apophis as a theoretical test case. According to astronomical observations, this 27-gigaton rock may come close to Earth in 2029, and then again in 2036. Paek determined that five tons of paint would be required to cover the massive asteroid, which has a diameter of 1,480 feet. He used the asteroid's period of rotation to determine the timing of pellets, launching a first round to cover the front of the asteroid, and firing a second round once the asteroid's backside is exposed. As the pellets hit the asteroid's surface, they would burst apart, splattering the space rock with a fine, five-micrometer-layer of paint. PS: Paek says he has never had anything stronger than a cup of herb tea.

The Syrian National Council, the Islamist-driven opposition body, met with Qaradawi in Qatar...meanwhile, it's biz as usual with Obama. ton director Haris Tarin made 24 trips to the White House between December 2009 and March 2012. Those meetings often were intimate in nature, involving a handful of people at most.
Edina Lekovic, an MPAC spokeswoman, visited the White House twice in July 2010. IPT noted that as a UCLA student, Lekovic served as an editor of a Muslim magazine called Al-Talib, which in 1999 ran an editorial calling Osama bin Laden "a great mujahid" and saying when bin Laden is called a terrorist, "we should defend our brother and refer to him as a freedom fighter, someone who has forsaken wealth and power to fight in Allah's cause and speak out against oppressors. We take these stances only to please Allah." That issue identified Lekovic as a managing editor.
MPAC defended Hizbullah"s 1983 attack on a U.S. Marine barracks in Lebanon which killed 241 Americans and questioned U.S.-terror designations for Hamas and Islamic Jihad.
