"This Israel Independence Day, I’m buying Palestinian!"
Proudly proclaims The Burston. "When I can, where I can, at the most direct level I can find, I’m working on trade ties. Seeking out matchless blood oranges and madjool dates from Jericho, taking home the superb tahini from Nablus, taking my business to the Palestinians of East Jerusalem..." So prattles Burston Bollocks; winking at the stall owner as he bags the fruit of Fatah, then fully laden, rushes home wards with a song in his didn't-I-do-well heart!
Bradley Burston, of Haaretz is your typical Leftie luvvie. What is it about these Leftie loons that he and his ilk embrace the very Islamofascists that would have their Jewish sweet meats on a skewer?
I recon that they are so far removed from any nodding acquaintance with reality, they'd have sponsored their own cattle trucks to Treblinka.
“I’ve signed an executive order that authorises new sanctions against the Syrian government and Iran and those that abet them for using technologies to monitor and track and target citizens for violence,” Obama said in a speech at the US Holocaust Museum. “These technologies should be in place to empower citizens, not to repress them …"
And...further more, I'll...
"I've signed an executive order..." Obama's like someone that takes a bucket and spade onto the beach to try stop a tsunami. The Assad regime has killed 11,000 + and counting, has ship loads of Russian arms arriving as frequently as a Honk Kong ferry and he makes another speech - at of all places- the Holocaust Museum, about...more friggin' sanctions! Has he got a TV? Assad's butchers don't need to "monitor and track": they just fire artillery into a town, then his tanks roll in to finish the job! If, after a year of daily death in Syria this is the measure of your intervention; just shut the fuck up. You're an embarrassment.
PS: Personally, I don't care if they continue knocking eight bells of shit out of each other. For as far as I'm concerned, whoever wins through in Syria, they'll have a different face but just continue with the usual Arab/Islamist agenda: working towards the destruction of Israel...but...if you call yourself the President of the United States? Eloquence doesn't cut it. (Photo: Copyright Control).
Shavei Israel Chairman Michael Freund just returned from visiting the Bnei Menashe in northeastern India, who are descendants of one of the Ten Lost Tribes of Israel. Some 2,000 of them gathered on Sunday to celebrate Israel's independence. May we see them back here in Zion soon...
For 2000 years+ in exile : "If I forget thee, oh Jerusalem..."
John R. "Johnny" Cash (February 26, 1932 – September 12, 2003), was an American singer-songwriter, actor and author who has been called one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century. Although he is primarily remembered as a country music artist, his songs and sound spanned many other genres including rockabilly and rock and roll—especially early in his career—as well as blues, folk, and gospel. This crossover appeal led to Cash being inducted in the Country Music Hall of Fame, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and Gospel Music Hall of Fame. Cash, a troubled but devout Christian, has been characterized as a "lens through which to view American contradictions and challenges". A Biblical Scholar, he made a spoken word recording of the entire New King James Bible; even so, Cash declared that he was "the biggest sinner of them all."
Cash's heritage was a British Isles mix; on his mother's side, English. and he learned upon researching his heritage that he was of Scottish royal descent on his father's side, traced back to Malcolm I of Scotland. After meeting with now-dead laird Major Michael Crichton-Stuart of Falkland, Fife, Scotland, Johnny traced the Cash family tree to eleventh-century Fife; Cash Loch and other locations in Fife bear the name of his family.
On December 4, 1956, Elvis Presley dropped in on studio owner Sam Phillips to pay a social visit while Carl Perkins was in the studio cutting new tracks, with Jerry Lee Lewis backing him on piano. Cash was also in the studio and the four started an impromptu jam session. Phillips left the tapes running and the recordings, almost half of which were gospel songs, survived and have since been released under the title Million Dollar Quartet.

From 1969 to 1971, Cash starred in his own television show, The Johnny Cash Show, on the ABC network. Cash enjoyed booking contemporary performers as guests; such notables included Neil Young, Louis Armstrong, Kenny Rogers and James Taylor; Ray Charles, Eric Clapton (then leading Derek and the Dominos) and Bob Dylan. During the same period, he contributed the title song and other songs to the film Little Fauss and Big Halsey, which starred Robert Redford, Michael J. Pollard, and Lauren Hutton. The title song, The Ballad of Little Fauss and Big Halsey, written by Carl Perkins, was nominated for a Golden Globe award. Cash had met with Dylan in the mid 1960s and became closer friends when they were neighbors in the late 1960s in Woodstock, New York. Cash was enthusiastic about reintroducing the reclusive Dylan to his audience. Cash sang a duet with Dylan on Dylan's country album Nashville Skyline and also wrote the album's Grammy-winning liner notes. In 1997, Cash was diagnosed with the neurodegenerative disease Shy-Drager syndrome, a form of multiple system atrophy. The video that was released for "Hurt", fits Cash's view of his past and feelings of regret. The video for the song, from American IV, is now generally recognized as "his epitaph,"and received particular critical and popular acclaim. (Wikipedia) (Video/Photos: Copyright Control)
This and other questions will be addressed more fully as you go through this article. However, there is a preliminary historical fact that must be established now. There has never been a civilization or a nation referred to as "Palestine" and the very notion of a "Palestinian Arab nation" having ancient attachments to the Holy Land going back to time immemorial is one of the biggest hoaxes ever perpetrated upon the world! There is not, nor has there ever been, a distinct "Palestinian" culture or language. Note: The word "Palestine" is never mentioned once in the Koran. Further, the word "Palestine" has no meaning in Arabic - and every word in Arabic has some meaning derived from the Koran, but the word "Palestine" does not! Further, there has never been a Palestinian state governed BY Arab Palestinians in history, nor was there ever a serious Arab-Palestinian national movement until 1964... three years BEFORE the Arabs of "Palestine" lost the West Bank [Judea and Samaria] and Gaza as a result of the 1967 Six-Day War (which the Arabs started). Even the late so-called leader of the "Palestinian" people, Yasser Arafat, was EGYPTIAN. In short, the so-called Arab "Palestinians" are a manufactured people...a people with no history and no authenticity... whose sole purpose for existence is to destroy the Jewish State! The term "Palestine" came from the name that the conquering Roman Empire gave the ancient Land of Israel in an attempt to obliterate and de-legitimize the Jewish presence in the Holy Land. The name "Palestine" was invented in the year 135 C.E. Before it was known as Judea, which was the southern kingdom of ancient Israel. The Roman Procurator in charge of the Judean-Israel territories was so angry at the Jews for revolting that he called for his historians and asked them who were the worst enemies of the Jews in their past history. The scribes said, "the Philistines." Thus, the Procurator declared that Land of Israel would from then forward be called "Philistia" [further bastardized into "Palaistina"] to dishonor the Jews and obliterate their history. Hence the name "Palestine." Israel first became a nation in 1312 B.C.E., two thousand years before the rise of Islam! Seven hundred and twenty-six years later in 586 B.C.E. these first ancient Jews in the Land of Israel [Judea] were overrun and Israel's First Jewish Temple (on Jerusalem's Old City Temple Mount) was destroyed by Nebuchadnezzar, king of ancient Babylon.

Many of the Jews were killed or expelled; however many were allowed to remain. These Jews along with their progeny and other Jews who would resettle over the next 500 years, rebuilt the Nation of Israel and also a Second Temple in Jerusalem upon the Temple Mount. (Note: the current claim by Arab media and their western sympathisers, that the Jews suddenly appeared right after the Holocaust in WW2, had never had any association to this land and just drove out the Arabs, is not only preposterous, it's a down right lie!) In 70 C.E. (nearly 2000 years ago), it was the Roman Empire's turn to march through ancient Israel and destroy the *SECOND Jewish Temple, slaughtering or driving out much of its Jewish population. Many Jews left on their own because conditions for life were made unbearable in many respects... yet thousands upon thousands stayed and rebelled on for centuries in order to once again rebuild a Jewish Nation in this Holy Land. (Note: *The Western Wall in Jerusalem is all that can be seen above ground level).
Extent of Kingdom during the time King Herod.
For over 3250 years, various Peoples, Religions and Empires have marched through Jerusalem, Israel's ancient capital. The region was successively ruled by the Hebrews [Jews], Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, **Maccabees, Romans, Byzantines, Arabs, Egyptians, the Crusaders, Mamelukes, the Turks (who indifferently governed the backward, neglected territory from the 16th century until the British drove them out during World War I) and then once again by the Jews in 1948. None bothered, nor were they in the least bit inclined, to build a Nation of their own... EXCEPT the Jews. It must be noted that in 636 C.E., when the Arabs marauders came to the land and uprooted even more of its Jews, they did not form any Arab nation there... and certainly not a "Palestinian" nation. They were simply "Arabs" who, as did others before them, moved into a geo-political area called "Palestine!" And remember this one fact... it was not the Jews who "usurped" (a favorite word from the Arab propagandists) the land from the Arabs. If anything, it was the Arabs in 636 C.E. who overran and stole it from the Jews! (Note: The famous American author Mark Twain on his visit to the Holy Land, was less than impressed by the Arab contribution since usurping the land: "..... A desolate country whose soil is rich enough, but is given over wholly to weeds... a silent mournful expanse.... a desolation.... we never saw a human being on the whole route.... hardly a tree or shrub anywhere. Even the olive tree and the cactus, those fast friends of a worthless soil, had almost deserted the country." (The Innocents Abroad, p. 361-362 first published in 1869)
No nation, other than the ancient nation of Israel and later again in 1948 with the rebirth of the 2nd Nation of Israel, has ever ruled as a sovereign national entity on this land. A mighty Jewish empire extended over this entire area before the Arabs --- and their Islam --- were even born. The Jewish People have one of the most legitimate Birth Certificates of any nations in the world. Every time there is an archaeological dig in Israel, it does nothing but support the fact that the Jewish People have had a presence there for well over 3,000 years. The national coins, the pottery, the cities, the ancient Hebrew texts... all support this claim. Yes, other peoples have passed through, but there is no mistaking the fact that Jews have always had a continual presence in that land for over 3,000 years. This predates and certain dwarfs any claims that other peoples in the regions may have. The ancient Philistines are extinct. Many other ancient peoples are extinct. And if you want to take a religious perspective: G-d GAVE the Land of Israel to the Jewish People. Very often one hears the revisionists and propagandists finding ancient historical links between the "Philistines" ("Invaders" in Hebrew) and the Arab "Palestinians." There is no historical evidence or truth to this claim. The Philistines were one of a number of Sea Peoples who reached the eastern Mediterranean region approximately 1250-1100 B.C.E. They were actually an amalgamation of various ethnic groups, primarily of Aegean and south-east European origin [Greece, Crete and Western Turkey] and they died out over 2500 years ago. Those Philistines were not Arab... and neither was Goliath. The Arabs of "Palestine" are just that... Arabs! And these Arabs of "Palestine" have about as much historical roots to the ancient Philistines as Yasser Arafat has to the Inuit people. The ancient, indigenous inhabitants of Palestine are long perished from the earth. Canaanites, Phoenicians, and then Philistines, all were dominated by the Israelites before 1060 B.C.E. Most of these cultural identities dissolved completely by the neo-Babylonian age, or, the 6th century B.C.E. As for the Arabs? Well, they weren’t even in Palestine until the mid-7th century C.E., over a thousand years later, afterPalestine’s 1,300-year Jewish history! Any Arabs living in Palestine never developed themselves or the land, but remained nomadic. (End of Part 1) ** The Maccabees were a Jewish rebel army that took control of Judea, which had been a client state. They founded the Hasmonean dynasty, reasserting the Jewish religion, expanding the boundaries of the Land of Israel. Hasmonean rule lasted from164BCE until 63 BCE, when the Roman general Pompey captured Jerusalem and subjected Israel to Roman rule. Please Note: The terms B.C. (Before Christ or Before the Christian Era) and A.D.("Anno Domini" Latin for "In the Year of Our Lord") have been replaced with B.C.E (Before Common, or Christian, Era) and C.E. (Common, or Christian, Era) so as to respect all visitors to this site. The terms are interchangeable and both are based upon the Gregorian Calendar. (C) Masada2000 (Maps: CopyrightControl)
EGYPT'S FIRST STEP IN SCRAPPING THE PEACE TREATY WITH ISRAEL!
The taps turning off.
Egypt has unilaterally canceled its agreement to supply Israel with natural gas, in a new indication of the steadily deteriorating relations between the countries. Some leading Israeli politicians on Sunday characterized the cancellation as a major breach of the 1979 peace agreement.
It's just a little commercial disagreement on price. And don't say "bollocks" to me...
However Netanyahu tries to make it sound like just a commercial consideration, you just have to listen to the mood music and Egypt's new Islamist power brokers. Egyptian presidential hopefuls Abdel Moneim Aboul Fotouh and Hamdeen Sabahi both stated their satisfaction with the turn of events. “The Egyptian people do not want to export gas to Israel and the president must act according to their wishes,” said Fotouh. Nothing ambiguous about his statement, PM! And...Ibrahim Yousri, a former Egyptian diplomat who had brought the issue to court, welcomed the decision announced Sunday.
I recall an old Desert Rat who fought the Nazis all through North Africa with the British 8th Army during WW2 saying to me, that it was the British soldiers experience with the Arabs that was summed up with "Trust the Arab's camel, but never them."
As I've said before: Israel should just take back the Sinia and NEVER return it to the devious, treacherous 7th century tossers. It's in the 1979 contract allowing Israel to do so the second Egypt breaks the so called peace agreement.
Sinai Desert.
They've just taken the first test step to see how Israel reacts; and if Netanyahu really believes it's just a commercial decision, he's going soft in the head. (Photos: Copyright Control).
"In principle, we are ready to act," Chief of Staff Benny Gantz told Ynet in a special interview ahead of Israel’s upcoming Independence Day. Gantz also hinted that the IDF has been operating far beyond Israel's borders. "I don’t think you will find a point in time where something isn’t happening somewhere in the world," he said. Gantz warned that a regional war will certainly mean rocket strikes on Israel's territory but said that the Jewish state is capable of dealing with any eventuality.
Hezbollah's fuel dumps...the last time.
“However, I don’t advice anyone to test us on this front. When Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah comes out of his bunker, he’s concerned – and rightfully so. He saw what happened to Lebanon last time, and it won’t be close to what will happen to Lebanon next time," the army chief said. "I think they understand it well." (Ynet)
